We sometimes use shall instead of will, especially for I and we.

    I think “Shall” rarely occurs in modern English usage. I prefer “will”

      yes, david, you’re right. we usually use shall to show great deal of commitment on realizing what we intent to do in the future. One famous example from the usage of “Shall” is “I Shall Return” pledged by Gen. Arthur McDouglas when the Japanese force him to retreat from Gueniea during WW II.
